8-ball Team Captain Guide Lines
Be at meetings to represent your team or select a team member to go in your place.
FIRST NIGHT OF LEAGUE:
Fill out Team Roster Sheet, collect sanction money from your new players ($35 per person). This goes to the Home team captain along with the league fees of $8.00 each player.
Home Team Captains:
It is your responsibility to collect all monies from both teams before start of each match.
Mail, drop box at Sonny’s or hand deliver money (NO COIN!) and white copy of Score Sheet to League Operator. Write on the white copy of score sheet if there are extra monies other than league dues. It is to be received by the Friday after your match or home team forfeits their match (games and points) until the envelope is received.
If they are not turned in then don’t expect your stats to be updated for the following week and you will need to go by the stats that are provided each week on the website. Repeat offenders will no longer be allowed to captain team.
WEEKLY:
Fill out score sheet with First and Last names of each player, and check round totals.
All team money is to be paid in full each night. Captain is responsible to make sure all money is accounted for. If a player is absent you must pay their fee. This is a ‘no pay, no play’ league.
Sportsmanship is the most important thing in this league. It’s a night of getting together and playing pool. Unsportsmanlike conduct will NOT be tolerated.

EVBCA RULES & GUIDLINES
WAITING FOR PLAYERS DURING A MATCH
Captains must be responsible for their players. If a player is consistently out smoking, playing on the video poker machines, or doing other extracurricular activities when they are supposed to be playing their game, this is unsportsmanlike conduct.
If there are problems of this nature with a Team, the Player will be warned and the reporting Captain will make a note on the score sheet. The captain must notify the League Operator if they wish to lodge a complaint with the Grievance Committee
NO NOTIFICATION FORFEITS
If a team has 2 no notification forfeits within a session, the Captain will not be allowed to be a Captain within our League again, unless they appeal to change that status.
RESCHEDULING
What is the latest time a team can ask to reschedule? After some discussion and to allow for those who work until 5pm, it was decided that 5:30 was an appropriate deadline for a Captain or Team Representative to ask for a reschedule. If a Captain calls by the deadline, the opposing Team must reschedule. If the Team does not want to reschedule, call League Operator and let them know there is a conflict.
Rescheduled match MUST happen within 2 weeks.(unless agreed upon by both Captains)
